How do you refresh
a heritage brand to reinforce quality and attract customers?
Schneiders has been around since 1948. Their business had grown exponentially, but their brand hadn’t grown with them and most importantly, it wasn’t conveying who they were to their customers. Also, they truly sold everything for every equestrian, making defining the brand a challenge.
The Work
Schneiders
With Schneiders we wanted to be able to communicate two messages with our brand: The trust that comes from years of experience, and the unmatched relationship established with the customer. With strong colors and lines, we established the trust, and with the flowing script we established the relationship. Most importantly, we established a brand promise that every equestrian could appreciate and trust: Horses define who we are.
We created a bold brand that could be recognized at just a glance. We owned the “S” in our name throughout the brand and made it a pillar element. With bold type and script, we had a wealth of versatility in how we delivered our message.
Animated Video
Measuring your horse for a blanket is a challenge. As a part of the new brand we created new animated videos to help equestrians with difficult tasks.
While online sales are a large portion of Schneiders’ sales, the Schneiders catalog is still a staple of equestrian shopping. With the new brand launch, we updated important parts of the catalog like the cover seen here as well as writing new brand messaging to spread throughout its pages.
The Schneiders social media pages are where customers first learn about offers and sales. We created eye-catching social media design that drove clicks and views.
The Results
We defined a brand that felt "undefinable".
For equestrians, Schneiders sells “everything”. Instead of “selling everything your horse needs” we let the world know that it’s the horses themselves that make us with “Horses define who we are.” The brand became recognizable from the competition, and we created a tagline that be came forward-facing to customers and a rallying cry for everyone at the company.
