How do you help retirees stop, so that they can finally start?

When you think of retirement, you probably think about stopping work. But for those retiring, you’re starting a new phase of life. McLean Asset Management needed to build a brand that reflected the relationships they build and the industry-leading experience they bring to every engagement. 

The Work

To help customers achieve their retirement goals, we created an identity they could be assured by.

When looking at the bigger picture, so much of branding is the subtleties you might not notice. The McLean brand we built uses organic shapes with rounded lines and muted colors to help visually signal the kind of relationships they build with their clients. 

Through tight copywriting and texture, we have built a brand that can live in any medium and mold to any execution. Organic shapes convey the approachability of the brand while clever copywriting communicates the expertiese of the team.

We wrote, designed, and animated a video from our favorite brand message we created: “We help you stop so you can start”. 

It's nice
to hold something

While print is less common these days, when it comes to learning about or being onboarded by an Asset Management company, it’s nice to have something to hold and take home. We’ve created beautiful brochures and printed materials that are a McLean brand experience clients and potential clients can experience wherever they are. 

From website to eBooks

We took the brand and translated it into a fully-responsive website, and as a part of that website, we’ve taken the expert McLean thought leadership and designed eBooks potential clients can find and download. 

Finances can be stressful and confusing. The brand we built makes the tough approachable and the confusing understandable. 

The Results

How do you refresh a heritage brand to reinforce quality and attract customers?

Often, the financial world is referred to as “traditional”. The truth is that as a whole, most brands are behind the times. We’ve transformed McLean from a traditional financial brand to something that is modern and appealing to our target audience. McLean now can consider themself a digital company as we’ve built a digital-marketing machine.
